For this production, I had a few factors to consider. The front 10 feet of the stage was historic hardwood and could not be screwed into or stapled in any way. I could not paint of the walls and there was no wing space. I also was building by myself in small quarters. So I utilized fabric as a back canvas and a floor to dramatically change the spaced and removed the curtains and exposed the walls to utilize the space.
